After Dark Event

Marie's After Dark.................................WOW!!!!  What a fun and busy night, I had no idea what  the turn out would be, but when the ladies started lining up at 4:15 for an event that started at 5, I thought we might have a crowd

.

The weather was slightly chilly but as you can tell these girls didn't mind waiting for their FREE M.A.D Bags.

And the line just kept growing and stretched all the way around the corner of the Ed's Eats building.  Women were cruising, looking for parking spots and calling us wanting us to hold them a M.A.D. bag!!  Sorry...the first 50 were the proud owners of our black and hot pink bag of goodies.

Everyone was ready for a free night out for WOMEN ONLY!!!

The doors open and the fun began........

Congratulations to Barb from St. Joe, the big money winner!! And special thanks to Tonya Young and her FCCLA students for all their hard work, and tasty treats, we truly appreciate it.

Thanks for putting Savannah in the spot light. Your hard work was well worth it. Please have another.

The Past Week

Generally the first quarter of most businesses is pretty slow, we are no exception to this.  However this past week we were busy with various things, it seems there is always something going on, even in our "down time".

Monday evening we had approximately 20 Girl Scouts from Troop 8022 in our studio earning their photography badges.  The majority of the troop is 5th graders, and these were the most well behaved 5th grade girls.  They were only here for 2 hours, but we packed those to hours full of information, and some hands on learning.  Each girl brought their own camera and when we went back to the camera room they got to take turns "shooting" each other.  At the end of the evening I did some inividual shots, as well as a group shot.  I think we all had a great time.

  Troop 8022

Believe it or not we had a senior this week!  Yes, it is getting late in the year for seniors, but this young man had dyed his hair back in Oct for homecoming and its just getting back to normal.  He was very laid back, and up for about anything!  I saw him in action later that evening at the basketball game, Savannah was the host to districts.  It's hard to believe that basketball season is over, and spring sports will be right around the corner.

I enjoy going out and taking some action shots throughout the year.

Saturday we had a large family in the studio, you know how hard it is to get everyone together, especially when some of them are spread out across the country.  Who would have thought we would have so much snow that day!!  I expected them to try to reschedule, due to the weather, but they showed up.  Again once your family is spread out you have to take advantage of the precious time you get together, especially when 1 family flew in from California, and another from Des Moines.  I think the trip down from Des Moines was the most adventurous considering the weather.   I will post some images of this great family later, keep checking back.

Two types of new love

We had a fun week with twin baby boys.  These little ones each weighed over 7 pounds at birth and are identical!  They brought their big brother along for 2 year old pictures as well.  Mom looks great, Dad was helpful and we were all exhausted when April finished shooting.  These boys were so easy to work with, no chasing around the studio yet.      Take a look at the shots of the two little guys.

r these two not the cutest babies you have ever seen, and their big bro is the cutest 2 yr old ever!!!! lol heard it was a lot of fun taking these. they turned out good.

Prom Season Will Soon Be Here

Go into any department store and you will know what season it is, Prom season!  Girls are tanning, getting their dresses, and looking for the right accessories.  Just like everything else, Prom isn't what it used to be.  It used to be unheard of to spend $500 on a prom dress, you wouldn't spend that on the whole evening!!  Now you can easliy spend upwards of $500 just in dress, shoes, tan, hair, nails, and makeup, not to mention what the guys are spending on the tux, flowers, food and transportation.   In the end it makes for one memorable evening, that you will never forget.

Once everyone is dressed you get together with your friends and start making the rounds, your parents house, his parents house, grandma's, aunts & uncles,  your friends houses and so on.  Everyone has a camera, and are taking pictures, but for this one evening you want to make sure that you have the portrait that captures the spirit of the night.  Don't leave that to chance, make your appointment with Marie's, for a truly unique Prom portrait experience.

This year we are taking Prom portraits to an exciting new  level, no fluffly gossamer, no cheesy props.  Instead you will find us on location in a building that has been stripped to its bones.  Check out our slideshow and see for yourself.

Fabulous Friends in February!

February is here, it's time to bring in your friends and celebrate the good times.  Who's your friend, maybe its your neighbor, your boyfriend, or someone you've known all your life.   Whoever it is, you'll want to get together to take advantage of this sweet deal.
